Welcome to Daviza Tours, Carpathian Countryside Travels!

Welcome to the website of Daviza Tours!

We’re a new, ‘small is beautiful’ company that offers very special group tours through the magnificent countryside of northern Romania. We began in February 2009 by offering a 10-day roundabout tour through the Romanian regions of Maramures, Transylvania and Bucovina.

Our motivation? A passionate love for these incredibly beautiful and varied areas! Please consider coming with us as we travel through the still untouched Carpathian countryside of northern Romania!

Here is a brief summary of what we have to offer you:

• Very small groups limited to a maximum of only 8 people

• A perfect combination of Nature and Culture

• Accommodation in small pensions located in traditional villages, with more than sufficient comfort and
cleanliness plus hearty rustic cuisine (vegetarians also catered to!)

• Starting each day together, with an invigorating walk through lovely natural surroundings in the vicinity of our
most recent pension.

• Transportation in a comfortable, non-smoking, double air-conditioned Mercedes mini-bus with responsible
driver.

• Enthusiastic and expert multi-lingual Dutch guide (Dutch, English, Hungarian, Romanian speaking) who also
knows the local people and their culture.

• Five UNESCO World Heritage Sites on the tour itinerary

• A mini-course in how to converse with the Romanians in their own language given during the tour.
